Stephanie Bandoske received her B.S. at The University of Maryland, College Park in 1999. She then went on to receive her Master’s in Human Relations at The University of Oklahoma in 2000. In 2005, Bandoske attained her J.D. at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Her certifications and licenses include being Board Certified in Family Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2012. Bandoske was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2005.
Bandoske has a mission. She explains, “I will give you honest legal advice and explore each of your options with consideration of the pros and cons of each choice you can make. I believe it is important to address your case as a whole, considering the financial and emotional concerns.”
“We are exclusively family law which encompasses everything from a divorce matter, so this includes division of property,” states Ashley Butler. “The bulk of our cases are child related and contested custody litigation type cases.” Butler explains that the firm also does some grandparent cases and adoption cases and coins the adoption cases as the “fun part” of the practice. But the focus is on the more contentious cases.
Butler received her B.S. at The University of Texas in Austin. She then went on to receive her J.D. at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Butler elaborates on her philosophy and how she helps others in Family Law. “I am focused on developing solutions that suit your families’ immediate and future needs. Many of my clients come to me as a referral, and I pride myself on the long term relationships I’m building with both our clients and members of the legal community.”
Bandoske explains that Bandoske, Butler, & Reuter, PLLC is a family law firm. She emphasizes, “We are a team of family lawyers. So, when you interview with an attorney and you hire that attorney, that is who is going to represent you in court. You do not get passed off to another attorney. We are the ones that represent you.” She adds, “We are a team. So, if someone gets sick or if they need assistance, there are five lawyers at our firm that can and do always step in and help.” Bandoske sums it up well. “This is always important to know. When you hire one of us, it’s not just an attorney by themselves. We are a whole team of attorneys helping you.”
Rachel Reuter is also a partner at Bandoske, Butler, & Reuter, PLLC. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in 1994 and St. Mary’s University School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1997. She says, “Dealing with family-related matters can be extremely difficult, especially if there are children involved. Any type of dispute, even a minor one, can affect a family negatively for years to come.” And that is why she and her partners try to make each case go as smoothly as possible.
Reuter is Board Certified in Family Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She specializes in divorce, military divorce, child support, and child custody. This includes both property division and pre and post marital property agreements.
“Sometimes, attorneys will dabble in family law, and they don’t understand the nuances that are so important to a family law case.” Bandoske adds, “So, the first thing that you want to ask is how long has your attorney been practicing. If they are a brand new attorney, what type of experience and what kind of support do they have.” It is quite obvious that all of the partners and lawyers at Bandoske, Butler, & Reuter, PLLC have a plethora of experience as individuals and as a team.
Butler states, “We work in conjunction with mental health care professionals and we also do a great deal of divorce coaching. We coach on how to have cooperative parent relationships even post-separation and post-divorce cases.”
“Healthy relationships are what everyone should try to model for their children and if it’s become toxic, there are definitely tools that the legal system can afford you to get out of that situation.” Butler emphasizes, “All of the ladies at our firm have a great deal of tools in order to help our clients.” The main tool is their years of experience and success.
“We help you navigate through the system for the benefit of both yourself and your children’s overall well-being.”
