Law Firm and Local Restaurant Join Forces to Provide Fresh Produce to Low Income, Elderly, and At-Risk Families at No Cost

San Antonio, Texas – The Joe Gamez Law Firm and J-Prime Steakhouse have joined forces to provide fresh produce to low income, elderly, and at-risk families at no cost. During COVID-19 pandemic there has been limited access for some families to get the items they need.

The bags of produce were distributed on Saturday, March 28, at J-Prime’s parking lot with over 200 cars that lined up for the survival packets.

“We know many families are struggling, as businesses and schools have shut down in our community. People are out of work. Many elderly are remaining home bound because they are at great risk for the coronavirus,” Attorney Joe Gamez said. “Many families are hungry.

Gamez added that he and his dad, Joe Gamez, Sr., could not sit by while families went hungry.

“We hope other law firms and business in San Antonio will follow suit to make food available to needy families across our city.”

Saturday’s food distribution is the first of several the law firm will sponsor over the next few weeks.

Jose Rios gave us a recap on the event from this weekend. “We didn’t plan for it to be this many people. We are trying to produce even more packets if we can. Right now, it’s very important to remember we are all going through the same thing. We are doing our part to help as much as we can.”

Gamez Law Firm will be partnering up with more local restuarants over the next few weeks, so be sure to follow them on social media for next Survival Pack giveaway! Facebook
